Typing reliability

Claim. 25 of 25 strings of 64 characters arrived exactly at full speed, and 25 of 25 in slow mode (about 4 times slower).

Method. live_typing_test.py types strings with doubled letters, mixed case and symbols through the Comet, then reads back what the target received over ssh and compares it with the string sent.

Sample size. 25 trials per mode, 50 in all. Also one 1500-character string in live_test.py (18 checks in that suite).

Result. 50 of 50 exact. Full speed is fine; slow mode is kept for passwords as a precaution.

Limits.

• Checked on a running Linux target, not in a BIOS or bootloader. Early consoles can drop characters at full speed; the docs advise pacing there, and that advice is not measured here.
• 64-character strings only, one target, one day.
• The device's print endpoint cuts at 1024 characters unless told otherwise.
